Extra large locusts are a substantial feeder insect suitable for large reptiles, birds, and other insectivorous animals. At 30–45 mm, these live locusts are ideal for species that require larger live food for reptiles, including adult bearded dragons, monitors, and other large lizards. Their active movement encourages natural hunting behaviour and makes them a reliable part of a varied feeding routine.
Locusts are naturally high in protein and lower in fat than some alternative feeder insects, making them suitable for regular feeding. Extra large locusts can be offered alongside other live reptile food such as crickets, mealworms, and morio worms to provide nutritional variety. These locusts are supplied live, carefully packed, and cope well with transport. Store in a warm, well-ventilated container and provide fresh greens before feeding.
